Product Description

This is a set of two great gardening books. The first one is 'Taylor's Encyclopedia of Gardening, Horticulture and Landscape Design', edited by Norman Taylor and published in 1948 by The American Garden Guild, Inc. & Houghton Mifflin Company. It's the second edition. The second book is 'Vegetable Growing' by James Edward Knott, published in 1955 by Lea & Febiger, in its fifth edition. The books are in good condition. There's some rubbing on edges, corners, and spines. The front free - endpaper of 'Vegetable Growing' is stamped by the owner. The text block of 'Taylor's Encyclopedia' is stained but still readable. The binding of 'Vegetable Growing' is tight, while that of 'Taylor's Encyclopedia' is loose. The interiors are clean.

These gardening books are great resources for anyone interested in gardening. To use them, simply flip through the pages to find the information you need, whether it's about horticulture, landscape design, or vegetable growing. When handling the books, be gentle, especially with 'Taylor's Encyclopedia' as its binding is loose. To maintain them, keep them in a dry and cool place to prevent further staining or damage. Avoid getting them wet or exposing them to direct sunlight for long periods. If you want to mark a page, use a bookmark instead of folding the corners. Enjoy learning from these classic gardening guides!
