Product Description

This amazing lot includes six vintage science - fiction paperbacks from 1963 to 1981. Titles and details are as follows: 'Isle of the Dead' by Roger Zelazny, published by Ace in 1969; 'At the Eye of the Ocean' by Hilbert Schenck, a 1981 First Timescape Printing from Timescape; 'The Drowned World' by JG Ballard, published by Berkley in 1966; 'Shadow of Heaven' by Bob Shaw, a 1969 First Avon Printing from Avon; 'Shield' by Pohl Anderson, published by Berkley in 1963; and 'The Reefs of Space' by Frederick Pohl and Jack Williamston, a 1964 First Ballantine Printing from Ballantine. The books are in acceptable condition. However, the spines are cracked in many places, covers, spines, and text blocks show age - related wear from storage and reading. Some books have ownership marks and stamps, text blocks have foxing and general dirtiness, and pages are discolored due to age. 'Isle of the Dead' has pen writing on the front cover, and 'Shield's cover is pulling away from the binding.

These vintage science - fiction paperbacks are great for collectors or those who love classic sci - fi. You can read them just like any other book. When handling, be gentle as the spines are cracked and the covers may be loose. To keep them in their current condition, store them in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid using wet hands when reading to prevent damage to the pages. If you notice any parts coming loose further, you can use a bit of archival - quality glue to fix them, but do it carefully to avoid leaving marks on the books.
