Product Description

This is a must - have book for engineers interested in soil testing. Written by T. William Lambe and published by John Wiley & Sons in 1954 (second printing). The book is in acceptable condition, with moderate soiling on the front and back covers and shelf wear. The pages are clean though slightly yellowed. There's writing from the former owner on the front and back free endpaper and pastedown, and some soiling on the pastedowns. Due to the metal spiral binding, there's staining from rubbing, and some pages are a bit hard to flip through because of the binding style.

To use this book, start by skimming through the table of contents to find the topics you're interested in. As the pages are slightly yellowed and some are a bit hard to turn, handle it gently to avoid tearing. When you're done reading, store it on a dry and clean shelf. Avoid placing heavy objects on it as the covers have some wear. If you notice the staining from the spiral binding getting worse, you can consider replacing the binding. Also, be aware that the writing from the former owner might be a bit distracting, but it adds to the book's history.
