Product Description

Item Details: Title - Stealthy Steve; Author - Newton Newkirk; Publisher - John W. Luce and Company; Copyright - 1904; Edition - Unstated. Condition: This book is in good shape with minor edge, corner, and spine rubbing. There's heavy staining on the front pastedown and free - endpaper, and markings from a previous owner on the front free - endpaper. An ephemera/poem is attached inside the front cover, and the glue has dried over time. Check the pictures. The spine is detached from the text block, but the pages are still firmly bound. The binding is loose, yet the interiors are clean.

If you're lucky enough to own this 1904 first - edition of Stealthy Steve, here's how to handle it. When reading, gently open the pages to avoid any further damage as the binding is loose. Don't try to re - attach the spine yourself as it might cause more harm. To maintain its condition, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This will prevent further staining and deterioration. Be careful when looking at the ephemera inside the front cover, as the glue is old and brittle. If you want to show it off, use clean hands to avoid transferring oils that could stain the pages. And always refer back to the pictures to keep track of its original state.
