This lot includes two great French WWII history books. The first one, 'Memorial des Compagnons De La Liberation', has an unknown author, publisher, copyright, and edition. The second, 'Nouvelle Histoire de France 36', is published by Librairie Tallandier in 1968, with an unstated author and unknown edition. The books are in good condition overall. Their covers and text blocks have some soiling and staining, but it doesn't affect readability. The text blocks are darkened due to age, also without impacting readability. There's minor soiling on pastedowns and free - endpapers. The spine of 'Memorial' is faded, and it has rubbing on corners and edges plus scuff marks on the back cover. 'Nouvelle' comes with a plastic dust jacket in good condition.

These French WWII history books are great for reading and learning about the historical period. When using them, handle them gently to avoid further damage to the covers and pages. Since the covers and text blocks have some soiling and the 'Memorial' spine is faded, keep them away from direct sunlight to prevent further fading. Store the books in a dry place to avoid mold or more discoloration. If you want to clean them, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the covers. When reading, place them on a flat surface to protect the pages. The 'Nouvelle' book has a plastic dust jacket, so be careful not to tear it when removing or putting it back on.
