Product Description

This 2-volume set offers in - depth insights into group theory. The first volume, 'The Theory of Groups: an Introduction' by Joseph J. Rotman, was published by Allyn and Bacon, Inc. in 1965. The second one, 'An Introduction to the Theory of Groups' by George W. Polites, came out from the International Textbook Company in 1968. The books are in good condition. There is minor soiling on the covers, and the cover of 'An Introduction to the Theory of Groups' has some material loss. The edges show signs of rubbing. However, the pages are clean and bright, and the bindings are secure. The dust jacket of 'The Theory of Groups' is in acceptable condition.

These books are great resources for learning about group theory. To use them, start by skimming through the table of contents to get an overview. Then, read the chapters in order for a structured learning experience. When reading, you can take notes to better understand the concepts. As for storage, keep them in a dry and cool place to prevent the covers from getting more soiled and to protect the pages. Avoid bending the pages or applying too much pressure on the bindings to keep them secure. If you notice any dust on the books, gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
