The second is 'The Secret of the Wooden Lady', also by Carolyn Keene and published by Grosset and Dunlap in 1950. Editions are unstated. The books are in good - acceptable condition. They show moderate wear at edges, spine ends, and corners, with some rubbing on the covers. The covers feature a black silhouette and writing, and the sunned spine has black text. There are marks from the previous owner on the front endpapers of each book. The black - dyed top of the text block has faded. Both books have light soiling on the endpapers and text from reading.
