Product Description

This is a unique first - printing hardcover book published in 1965 by Grove Press. The author, Lawrence J. Hatterer, titled it 'The Artist in Society: Problems and Treatment of the Creative Personally'. The book is in good condition overall. The cover shows some damage like staining, scuffing, soiling, shelf - wear, and has a sticker. The text block has soiling, staining, and the stamped script of a previous owner. The front free - endpaper has an ink script dedication from the author, and the back pastedown has a library punch - card bookplate along with some stamped and ink script. The pages have occasional pencil markings, stains, and wrinkles, but readability is not affected. They are bright, clean, intact, and legible. The bindings are tight and sturdy.

Using this book is as simple as opening it and starting to read. You can enjoy the author's insights on the artist in society. When handling the book, be gentle due to the cover's damage and the marks on the pages. To maintain it, store it in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid getting it wet or dirty. If you need to move it, hold it firmly by the spine to prevent further damage to the bindings. Also, try not to add any new markings to the pages to preserve its original state.
