Product Description

This is a special edition of 'Village in August' written by T'ien Chun and published by The World Publishing Company in October 1943. It's the 1st printing of the Towers Books Edition. The book is in acceptable condition despite some wear. There's loss of material at the head and bottom of the spine, moderate foxing, soiling, and tarnishing along the text block. The pages have severely yellowed with age, are fragile, and have creasing, minor tearing, and minor soiling, but readability is unaffected. The binding is slipping and breaking down.

If you own this rare book, here's how to handle it. First, when reading, use a bookmark instead of folding the pages to avoid further tearing. Keep it away from direct sunlight and high humidity as these can cause more yellowing and damage to the pages. To maintain its condition, store it in a cool, dry place. If you need to move it, hold it gently by the covers to prevent the binding from breaking down further. And remember, due to its age and fragility, handle it with extra care.
