This amazing lot includes two historical books. First, 'The Colonial History of Hartford' by William DeLoss Love, published in 1974 by Centinel Hill Press in association with The Pequot Press, Inc. It's the U.S. Bicentennial Edition and is in good condition, though there's some writing on the pages which doesn't affect readability. Second, 'The Public Records of the Colony of Connecticut' by J. Hammond Trumbull, published in 1850 by Hartford: Brown & Parsons. It's in acceptable condition as a working copy, but the cover is detached from the binding, has a torn front free endpaper, the spine material is pulling away, and the edges are frayed. Both books have soiled front and back covers.

These historical books are great for learning about the colonial history of Connecticut. To use them, simply open the pages and start reading to discover the rich history within. When handling the books, be gentle as they are old and may be fragile. For 'The Public Records of the Colony of Connecticut', since the cover is detached, you can use a paper clip or a rubber band to keep it together while reading. To maintain these books, store them in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid getting them wet or dirty, and if you notice any loose pages, you can use archival tape to repair them carefully.
