Product Description

This special lot includes two modern fiction books by Kay Boyle published by Southern Illinois University Press. The first, 'Plagued by the Nightingale', was copyrighted in 1966, and the second, 'Year Before Last', in 1969. Both are in the Modern Fiction Edition. The books are in good condition overall. There's minor rubbing on the corners, markings from a previous owner on the front free - endpapers, and slight foxing of the text block (readability is not affected). The spines are detached from the text block, but the pages are still firmly bound. The dust jackets are in acceptable condition with edgewear. The dust jacket of 'Year Before Last' is torn with some loss of material. The binding is tight, and the interiors are clean.

These books are great for readers who enjoy modern fiction. When you get them, handle them gently as the spines are detached. You can place them on a bookshelf in an upright position to keep the pages in order. To prevent further damage to the dust jackets, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight and humidity. If you notice any loose pages, you can use a small piece of acid - free tape to secure them. Enjoy reading these classic works by Kay Boyle!
