This set includes three vintage Sunset travel guides. The first, 'Sunset Travel Guide to the Orient,' covers Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and China. It was supervised by Cornelia Fogle, published by Lane Publishing Co. in 1976, and is a second - printing edition. The second guide, 'Hong Kong, A Sunset Travel Book,' was directed by Frederic M. Rea, published by Lane Magazine & Book Company in 1969, and is the second edition, first printing. The third, 'Japan, A Sunset Travel Book,' was supervised by Frederic M. Rea, published by the same company in 1973, and is the second edition, second printing. The books are in acceptable condition. Covers have some damage like rubbing, creasing, soiling, and shelf - wear, and the 'Guide to the Orient' has price stickers on the front cover. The text block shows discoloration due to age, with some soiling and staining. Pages are slightly yellowed, and the title and contents page of 'Japan' have become unglued, but otherwise, they are clean, intact, and legible. Bindings are intact, though the glue is discolored and brittle.

These vintage travel guides are great for those who want to explore the Orient, Hong Kong, and Japan as they were in the late 1960s and 1970s. Use them to get a feel of the places during that time, understand the local culture, and discover attractions. When handling these books, be gentle because the covers are damaged and the glue in the bindings is brittle. To maintain them, keep them in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid getting them wet as the pages are already discolored and could get more damaged. If you need to turn the pages, do it slowly, especially for the 'Japan' guide where the title and contents page are unglued.
