This lot includes two valuable veterinary books. The first one, 'Diseases of the Small Domestic Animals', is written by Oscar Victor Brumley, D.V.M., and published by Lea & Febiger in 1948. It's a reprinted edition. The second book, 'Veterinary Bacteriology', is authored by I. A. Merchant and published by Iowa State College Press in 1946, with a third - edition. The books are in good condition. There's some rubbing and scratching on the covers and spines, shelf and edgewear with rounded and scuffed edges, corners, and spine ends. There's foxing and darkening on pastedowns, endpapers, and page edges, but readability is not affected. There are small marks from previous owners on the front endpapers and intermittent pages. The bindings are tight.

These veterinary books are great resources for learning about animal diseases and bacteriology. To use them, simply start reading from the beginning to gain in - depth knowledge. When handling the books, be gentle due to their age and the minor wear on the covers and edges. To maintain them, store them in a dry and cool place away from direct sunlight. Avoid getting the pages wet as it could cause further damage. If you want to mark important information, use bookmarks instead of writing directly in the books.
