Product Description

This lot includes two vintage books. The first book, 'Principles of Physical Metallurgy', was written by Frederick L. Coonan and published by Harpers & Brothers in 1943. The edition is unstated. The second book, 'Metal Castings', was authored by Harry L. Campbell and published by John Wiley & Sons in 1946, with the seventh printing. The books are in acceptable condition. Both have moderate staining on the front and back covers and spines. 'Metal Castings' has foxing along the spine and on the text block. There's also some slight spoiling on both books. There's writing on the front free endpaper and the back pastedown page of 'Metal Castings'. The front free endpapers of both books are foxed. However, the pages are clean and bright. The binding of 'Principles of Physical Metallurgy' is tight, while the binding of 'Metal Castings' is starting to loosen.

These vintage books are great for collectors or those interested in metallurgy history. When using them, handle them gently as they're old and may be fragile. Avoid getting them wet or exposing them to direct sunlight for long periods to prevent further damage. To maintain them, store them in a cool, dry place on a flat surface. If you need to move them, hold them firmly by the spine. Since the binding of 'Metal Castings' is starting to loosen, be extra careful when opening and closing it.
