Using the New Holland 38 Flail Chopper is straightforward. First, connect it to your tractor using the 540 PTO. This will power the chopper to do its job. When you're ready to start, the hydraulic chute and turn hydraulic lift give you good control over the chopping process. During transport, keep in mind that it's 9 feet 8 inches wide. When in operation, it expands to 10 feet 10 inches wide. As for safety, always make sure you're wearing appropriate protective gear, like safety glasses and sturdy shoes. For maintenance, since it's been stored indoors and hasn't been used on many acres, it's in a decent condition. But regularly check the tires (190/65R15 & 175/65R15) for proper inflation and any signs of wear. Also, look for any loose parts or signs of damage after each use.
