Product Description

This lot includes two art gallery handbooks. The first one, 'Ming Ch'ing', was published by The Art Institute of Chicago in 1964. Its edition covers the dynasties from 1368 - 1644 and 1644 - 1912. The second handbook, 'Masterpieces of Chinese and Japanese Art', was published by Freer Gallery of Art Handbook in 1976 under the Smithsonian Institution. Both books are in good condition. There's some rubbing and minor edge - wear on the paper covers and spines. 'Ming Ch'ing' has a pencil price on the front cover, and 'Masterpieces of Chinese and Japanese Art' shows some sunning on the paper cover. The bindings are tight, and the text blocks are clean with vivid illustrations.

These art gallery handbooks are great for art enthusiasts to explore the art history. To use them, simply flip through the pages to enjoy the vivid illustrations and learn about the artworks. When handling the books, make sure your hands are clean to avoid soiling the pages. It's best to store them in a dry and cool place to prevent damage from humidity and heat. If the books get dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the covers. Avoid bending the pages or applying too much pressure on the bindings to keep them in good shape.
